The first plants in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia are set to feed hydrogen into and out of the German nuclear grid as early as April 2025. This project is part of the “GET H2 Nukleus” project, which is establishing a hydrogen ecosystem with IPCEI status. RWE is planning to operate a 100 MW electrolyser in Lingen, which will produce green hydrogen and transport it to various industrial plants via a newly constructed pipeline network.
